Challenges
When looking to start construction work on any site it is vital that a utility survey is undertaken before the ground is broken. A utility survey helps ensure the safety of all people working on site. It also assists with design because it should reduce the amount of unknowns within the site and show existing services which may need diverting.
The utility survey information was key to the client and it was important that SEP hit deadlines set out at the start of the project so that there was no impact on the rest of the programme.
Results
The survey works were completed using ground penetrating radar and electro magnetic location. SEP were able to provide a comprehensive plan of all existing services in the area. Even with a tight deadline, SEP were able to surpass client expectations as evidenced by the testimonial below.
