Preston & South Ribble Borehole Clearances

SEP were contracted to conduct numerous underground utility surveys of proposed borehole locations around the Preston and South Ribble area. These surveys were to detect the presence or absence of services in preparation for the drilling of boreholes.

Challenges

The ground investigation team had been arranged to carry out drilling on the Monday morning but access to conduct the clearance surveys wasn’t possible until the Friday. Our survey team needed to mobilize, survey all the necessary areas, and then deliver the data to our CAD team for processing. A member of our CAD team then worked over the weekend to produce drawings ready for delivery to site on Monday morning.

Results

The swift mobilisation, data processing, and drawing production ensured that our clients ground investigation works were not delayed. Sub-contractors were able to carry out their tasks without impediment minimising the costs to our client.
